Cozy Saturday

Finals week is in full swing at FIDM.  I have 4 final projects/presentations next week, but no matter what Saturday is my day off to spend with my husband!  Its quite chilly up in the Oakland hills (love it) so I wore my Allsaints cowl neck (similar) sweater, Mother Denim and my navy Sixty Seven (similar) booties for our little date night.  I am looking forward to finishing my degree and spending Christmas in LA with my in laws… stay tuned 🙂

Black, White and Gold.

I officially have 2 more weeks of school until I earn my graduate degree from FIDM!!! I am so busy but I still try and stay stylish even when I do not have time.  I am also starting to think about what I am going to wear when I present my final portfolio to the heads of the Product Development program.  I love this black and white blazer from Anthropologie (similar).  It is polished and edgy at the same time.  I paired it with a silk Allsaints (similar) button down ( I would wear a cami underneath for my presentation), coated high waisted Citizens of Humanity jeans, my white Sixty Seven booties (similar) and my new favorite accessory, these collar tips from Honeydrip.  Collar tips are an easy way to replace the statement necklace and spruce up any button down!  Wish me luck in my last few weeks of school and happy almost holidays!!

Navajo Wovens and Chambray.

This glorious rain in Northern California has been a breath of life to these hills.  The green grass is sprouting and the sky is blue and I wanted to share how beautiful it is with you.  I brought out another vintage Ralph Lauren sweater that my Mom handed down to me for this crisp Fall weather.  I paired it with a vintage chambray tunic that I found at Patine, La Selva Beach, a Janessa Leone hat, my zippered J Brand black skinnies and my new Free People Dark Horse booties.  The holidays are closely approaching, stay tuned more my favorite gifts to give this season 🙂

Black Magic Woman.

Midterms are in full swing and my graduate degree is closer than ever.  But I am going to need some magic to keep my energy and drive up for the final stretch.  Today I am super inspired by one of my blonde icons, Stevie Nicks.  She rocked the wide brim hats, black lace, leather and messy blonde hair before anyone else.  I am wearing a sheer stretch lace dress with bell sleeves from Free People, a porkpie hat from Allsaints (similar), vegan leather leggings by La Fee Verte (similar), sky high black wedges from Allsaints (similar) and my favorite statement necklace from Dylanlex. Wish me luck during midterms, hope your fall is getting off to a great start 🙂

White Wolf

This nearly full moon is bringing out my inner spirit animal, the white wolf.  This white faux fur jacket from Forever 21 was a great impulse buy last week.  I was super cold at school so I ran downstairs to the store and grabbed this insanely comfortable blanket cardigan.  I do not have anything like it and It fits into my wardrobe perfectly!  I paired it with my fave cream Sixty Seven booties.  The dress is a great long sleeve silk shirtdress from Allsaints that is an investment, but a great wardrobe staple. My favorite piece though, is my new head chain from Iweartheheadress, I love statement necklaces and I think I am moving into the territory of statement headpieces too.  Stay Tuned 🙂

Leather, Mesh and Tassels.

Sorry I have been so MIA this week, I am in my last quarter of grad school and life is so busy.  As I transition into fall, I wear a ton on of black and today I added a pop of gold hardware and tan slippers.  This leather and mesh top by Sandro Paris I found on Haute Look for a fraction of the original price after my BFF gave me a heads up (love when that happens).  My tan and gold tassel loafers by Bass are like walking on a cloud   I am wearing J Brand skinnies that are super comfy and are a go to in my closet. And finally, my Janessa Leone hat which was a great buy this summer and has transitioned into fall seamlessly.  I am so excited to share my outfits going into fall and the into the holidays.

Happy Styling 🙂

Sweater Weather.

I woke up to the sound of rain this morning and when I opened my closet, I knew it was sweater weather.  Sipping my coffee at this house up in the clouds wrapped up in a cozy sweater is one of my favorite parts the season.  I have an amazing collection of Native American inspired hand knit Ralph Lauren (similar) sweaters from the 90’s courtesy of my amazing Mom and I am so excited to share them with you.  I paired it with a soft, flowy Bordeaux (similar) black tee, my Allsaints (similar) resin-coated drop crotch denim, an Allsaints (similar) agate necklace and my favorite army green Sixty Seven booties. This was a perfect combination of cozy and stylish as I was headed to school early this morning.

Crochet and Clogs

It is finally cooling down at sunset, so tonight I layered this hand crocheted Allsaints sweater with a silk Allsaints dress.  I am all about clogs in the fall and this Jeffrey Campbell pair are a versatile color and the heel height keeps them from being dowdy. This outfit is the perfect day to night transition when the weather is changing. Pieces like these will stay in style for years.  Oakland sunsets in the fall are breath taking and I wanted to share this one with you.  I also would like to give a huge shoutout to Ash at Taylor Monroe San Francisco for my pastel mint and purple dipped hair.  She is my go to girl for hair for the last 5 years!

I am starting my last quarter to earn my graduate degree from FIDM SF tomorrow, wish me luck 🙂

I am so excited for Fall, but it is way too hot to break out my favorite layering pieces.  Getting dressed for a date night with Roger on Piedmont Avenue,  I still felt like dressing for fall so I mixed summery silhouettes with fall fabrics and color palette.  I outfitted my favorite sheer Allsaints button down with a Free People buffalo plaid skirt (that I usually pair with tights in colder weather).  I accessorized with these perfect Sixty Seven Chelsea boots, my grandma’s vintage purse and my new amazing necklace by Native Daughter.  I cannot wait for the weather to cool down so I can share my favorite fall looks with you 🙂
